Target Furniture has been one of New Zealand's leading furniture retailers for more than 30 years. We're a 100% Kiwi owned and operated family business that is passionate about providing Kiwis with affordable furniture that doesn't compromise on quality or style.
Our Story
After opening Target Furniture in 1992, Monty Bielby launched the first franchise store in 2001 with a vision to help Kiwis create homes they love - and this is something we still pride ourselves on today.
In the early days, Monty worked closely with designers to craft a premium range of furniture. When importing gained momentum in the 90s, he moved the majority of manufacturing overseas to improve efficiency.
We now work with suppliers in China, Malaysia, and Vietnam to customise our furniture, ensuring it's the best fit for Kiwis wanting to furnish their dream home. We're also proud to support local and have a network of long-standing suppliers here in New Zealand, based in Auckland, Northland, Central North Island, and Wellington.
Today, Monty owns all seven Target Furniture stores nationwide, and his son, Rob Bielby, is Managing Director. Keeping the business in the family ensures that providing top quality, great value furniture that is both on trend and practical remains an integral part of the business.
